How it works
A crew that plans, works, and checks — then hands you the wheel.
The process
From request to reviewed result.
1. Describe the work
Message an agent in OpsVela or Slack, assign a task in ClickUp or Asana, or share a Loom video and docs — just like briefing an employee. The project coordinator breaks it into steps and asks for anything missing.
2. Agents carry out supported tasks
The research agent gathers and summarizes material, the execution specialist produces the deliverable, and the quality reviewer checks it and flags issues.
3. Review results and decisions
You see the output, the reviewer's notes, and any decisions waiting on you. Approve, request changes, or take it from there.
Your team, your structure
Start with one agent. Grow into an org chart.
Add as many agents as you need and arrange them into teams and reporting lines. Message them in the OpsVela platform or from Slack. Common starting roles:
Execution specialist
Produces deliverables and completes supported tasks.
Project coordinator
Organizes work and identifies missing information or decisions.
Research agent
Reviews source material and prepares research, summaries, and drafts.
Quality reviewer
Checks outputs and flags issues before they reach you.
Trust
You stay in control.
Human review
Important decisions are surfaced for your approval rather than made on your behalf.
Full visibility
See each task's steps, outputs, reviewer notes and usage as work happens.
Customer control
Agents work on supported tasks only. AI can make mistakes, which is why review is built in.
Economics
Estimated savings and profit, from rates you set.
Enter an average employee hourly rate to estimate savings on internal work, and an hourly rate per client to estimate billable value and profit on client work.
Internal work → estimated savings
Set an average employee hourly rate. OpsVela estimates the labor that agent work stands in for, minus tracked AI usage costs.
Example rate: $40/h employee average. Estimated labor value less tracked costs — not realized cash savings.
Client work → estimated profit
Set your hourly rate for each client. OpsVela estimates the billable value of completed work and the profit after AI usage costs.
Example rates set per client. Client value is not invoiced or collected revenue.

Effort is an estimate, not hours worked. Internal savings and client profit are calculated separately from the rates you set, and tasks without a rate show as not estimated.
